Some people go bonkers for Harry Potter. I'm nutso for craft books.
I rarely buy them, though, mostly because I'm a cheap s.o.b. and because the library is only 1.7 miles away (I know this because it's part of my new running route).
A couple months ago, though, I pre-ordered Amanda Blake Soule's debut book--"The Creative Family." Amanda's blog is one of my top three favorites (and I frequent a lot of blogs), so I figured I would enjoy her book.
It came in the mail yesterday and I practically hooted when I saw it. I'm having a hard time reading it through because something a few pages away from where I am keeps catching my eye and I have to skip to it.
I hate to categorize it just as a craft book, because it's so much more than that. It's about parenting and love and creativity and life, really. It's fantastic. Kudos to her for putting it all down in words (and beautiful pictures). How inspiring.
More later. Dog just barfed on the bedroom floor.
