I noticed I got some hits overnight from this Web site, and upon further investigation I saw that the author, Lisa Cameron, had put yesterday's tissue paper flowers on her list of recommended tutorials. How great! Thanks, Lisa.
The Web has a plethora of free craft tutorials floating around. They're a great way for old pros to get fresh ideas and for newbies to dabble in stitching and whatnot without spending a bunch of money on craft books or patterns. The best part is that they're from people all over the world--Lisa lives in Australia (we're Wiggles fans here, too, Lisa. Beauty, mate!).
She has a great list of tutorials going. I especially love these links:
-tin can cover, by Elsie Marley
-A butterfly specimen box, by Sew Eco
-A twirly skirt, from House on Hill Road
Did you hear that? Yeah, that big boom. It was the sound of my to-do list exploding.
House on a Hill is one of my fav blogs and I have always loved that skirt.
We make paper peonies all the time, it's such a fast and easy way to do something fun with the kids.
