Just a quick note to say I've been cooking up more Valentine's crafts for my kids' parties Web site. Here are the latest:
Heart badges ...
Did anyone else notice the heart badges Julia Child (er, Meryl Streep) and her friends wore in Julie and Julia during the Valentine's dinner? I loved that scene. I loved all the scenes that showed the romance between the Childs. Anyhow, that's what inspired these felt-covered badges ...
A photo tutorial awaits you here.
And here is a quick idea for Valentines cupcake toppers.
Can you believe my job entails me whipping up a batch of cupcakes while the girls are in preschool and then hiding all the evidence 10 minutes before I go pick them up so they don't suspect that being home with Mommy might be more fun than school? The cupcakes are waiting in the freezer for when they least suspect it ...
I'm updating to add one more tutorial:
Cupcake wrappers ...
And here you can find my other articles on the kids' parties site about different Valentines party themes, printable cards, recipes, etc.
Just letting you know that you inspired me to throw a Valentines Party! I am pretty excited and have perused your party blog for more ideas! Thanks!

How great, Angie! Thanks so much for telling me this. I really want that site to inspire people to throw kids' parties and not be afraid of them. I think some people avoid them because they're messy or stressful (to some), but it's so natural for kids to want to celebrate life (a new season! a birthday! graduating from the plastic cups to the glass cups at preschool!). They'll only be young for a while. Let's make it fun!!!
Oh, boy. Lots of exclamation points there. Sorry.

These are great. Can't wait til my little guy gets bigger and can craft. Hopefully, he won't hate it by then.
