I have such an itch to be sewing these days. I'd like to lock myself away in my craft room and whip out a spring wardrobe for the girls. And maybe for myself, too, but that hasn't gone so well in the past.
No one is inspiring me more than a Spokane children's clothing maker I came across recently named Chris Mark.
Check out some of her adorable designs:
I just wrote a mini article about Chris over on Dwell Well. You can buy her designs in her Etsy shop, Team Littles.
these are amazing...i've always wanted to learn how to sew...love the model and posing on the chair, too...

Denise, it's so much easier than you probably think. Take a sewing class. You won't regret it.
As for the pictures--yes--adorable! Chris said she just moved a curtain into the brightest corner of her kitchen and asked her daughter to stand on a chair. Sweet and simple.
Ari, I know! Cute, huh? I have such a bug right now to sew, sew, sew.

Off topic, but I just wanted to comment in general. Love your blog; found you via Down to Earth. Thank you so much for introducing me (and the rest of the world) to Ari at Buttercuppity. We are so lucky to have her shop here in Spokane. I'm doing my part to make sure their business is profitable! ;)
Also, I love that you shared the tutorial for the book sling; I am going to make one this weekend for my daughter who sleeps on the top of her bunk-bed but hates to have to get up to put her books away after reading at night. This is going to make our lives so much easier! Yay!
